A single stableford was held at the Lithgow Golf Club with the winners of the two grades turning in some great golf.
The best score of the day came out of B grade with Les Kable even surprising himself with a well compiled 45 points.
Runner-up to Kable was Ron Evans on 39 points.
There was good scoring in A grade, with Tyrone MacCullagh shooting a one under par to amass 42 points.
Runner-up was the inform Dennis Wallace with 39 points.
With his sub par score MacCullagh also took out the best scratch score in A grade with 37 points while Kable finished best in B grade on 23 points.
Nearest the pin awards went to Greg Guest on the second (255 cm), Gary Keen on the fourth (160 cm), Darky Millar on the ninth (117 cm), Laurie Northey on the 13th (202 cm) and Mick Hunter on the 18th (154 cm).
Balls in the ball competition went to those with 36 points on a count back and better.
Today’s event will be the MFS State two ball best ball and tomorrow the Keno State two ball mixed stableford will be held.
