Panthers still the dominant club

22/07/2008 9:11:00 AM
It was the “Rivalry Round” in the Western Premier League hockey competition where teams play local derbies in their respective cities.

At Lithgow, Workies Panthers took on Zig Zag in both the men and women’s competitions with the Panthers continuing their domination over their Lithgow competitors.

The men took out their match 5-3 while the women won 4-1.

Both matches were played before good crowds, although the women’s match that started at 5.15 pm would have attracted a bigger crowd had it been played at an earlier time slot.

Many disappointed junior fans missed the match due to the late start.
