 Hard slog up The Gap

Hard slog up The Gap

18/05/2008 8:03:00 AM
IT was just a little stroll in the Autumn sunshine — a mere 155 kilometres from Lapstone to Bathurst!

But for this intrepid group of charity walkers the challenge of Browns Gap made the slog seem much, much further.

The walkers are Penrith business and sporting identities Darren Latty, Rob Wearn, Mark Mulock, Jenny Green, Jonathon Green, Mark Geyer and Steve Archer.

After an overnight stay in Lithgow they faced more challenging hills — and deteriorating weather —between Bowenfels and Tarana before the final sprint towards the finish in Bathurst.

Their five day Great Walk had a target of raising $50,000 for charities in the Penrith, Blue Mountains and Bathurst areas.
